Angelina Wherefore art thou?
Angelina, the much acclaimed cafe in Paris is in Singapore. Now you don't need to travel miles for your Parisian fix. How does the hype live up? Read on~~

Have some fluffy crisp dough for starters.

Here comes the mains, which, was pretty good. But of course the pricing are on the slightly higher side too.

Chicken Roulade $24
Chicken skin wraps around the meat and is pan fried to golden brown.

Delish tender chicken marinated accompanied with hazelnut puree and orange braised endive.

Trufle Ravioli $29
Comfort food. Ravioli wrapped with potatoes and parmesan cheese and accompanied with rocket salad. The fragrance of olive oil and creamy cheese sauce envelopes the mouth and tantalizing your taste buds.

Hot Chocolate " L' Africain". Angelina's signature beverage. $13.
Really thick, gluing hot chocolate. Aromatic chocolate embrace as you savor before it tinkles down your throat. But you know, in Chinese saying, the hot chocolate is quite on the 'heaty' side, so refrain from gulping down too much- though tempting.

Mont-Blanc Celebration in November saw special limited flavors on display. Out of curiosity, we tried out these limited editions.

Mont-Blanc Cassis. $14
Comes with meringue, whipped cream, chestnut and  Blackcurrant cream vermicelli.

Next, Mont-Blanc Framboise $14
Meringue, light whipped cream with raspberry heart, chestnut cream vermicelli. In conclusion the Mont-Blancs were really overly sweet. Don't be fooled buy its seemingly small size. You can easily share 1 pieces between 3 pax. Perhaps too sweet, we were not able to finish them after some mouthfuls. The taste between the 2 specials ? Almost similar unfortunately.
Would I be back to have the Mont-Blanc? Maybe not.
Doesn't taste memorable and not worthy of the calories :)

Conclusion: To be honest I was slightly disappointed with the Mont-Blanc, Had never tried Angelina before but was expecting a lot esp from their all-time favorites. Perhaps that's how mont-blancs are but I would prefer other desserts anytime. Personal thoughts.
