[ Food Review] Greendot Singapore- Eat Clean, Feel Good

by - Monday, August 24, 2015

Eating healthy has become easier with the opening of Greendot which I had only recently discovered at Westgate.  Apparently under the same family from the now defunct Teadot, Greendot is more wholesome introducing healthy eating and total wellness. From dining menu and drinks to cooking ingredients ( only at Paya Labar outlet ) which you can buy home from, much thoughts and love has been put into the menu creation for one's nutritional needs.

Eating clean and green need not be boring as Greendot aims to serve healthy green options which are good for the body and big on taste.
Greendot serves a variety of vegetarian options: from bento, noodles, burgers and even hotpots.
It was quite addictive  to tuck into Greendot on a daily basis if I had not lived so far away from the outlets. Besides the portions were great -just nice.

On the Menu:

Asian Fusion Bento Set $7.90.
This economical set comes with the option to have 1 Main ( Mock nuggets, Curry chicken etc.) and 2 greens followed by the choice of your rice. Top up $3.90 to have a drink and osmanthus jelly. We didn't order a set as it was too filing even on its own.
Though I love all the little side dishes, the stir-frys were a bit too oily. Hopefully they can reduce the oil usage. Alternatively choose the water-boiled ones.
P.S: the curry aroma was so fragrant it was hard not to choose that as you can see below on the foreground,

On another day we went to the Paya Lebar branch and tried the Black Pepper Soya Burger $6.50.
This burger is so awesome! The soy patty was tangy and chewy as if it's meat, only better. Try this! Of course the patty is deep fried so don't have it too often.

Herbal Noodle 47.90
Also tried this soupy noodle packed in herbal broth with Chinese herbs such as Angelica, Licorice and Wolfberry. Aids in blood circulation and cholesterol control. The noodles were springy  and topped with various ingredients such as Konnyaku Balls, Soya Chunks, Tau Pok, Radish and Carrot.
Perfect for a cold rainy day!
Other noodle choices such as Tom Yum and Laksa are spicy ones. Dry versions like Minced Soy are also avail, just step in to take a look for yourself.

This is the famous outlet at the newly opened Paya Lebar Square just outside Paya Lebar Station. Very comfy and nice dining environment inside and out.
Plus point: the service crew whom are mostly seniors were very polite and friendly, so do smile at them and be polite as well.  :D

All nett. No GST and service charges.
 3 Outlets now:
GREENDOT @ WESTGATE
GREENDOT @ PAYA LEBAR SQUARE
GREENDOT @ BEDOK MALL

  1. Of late, portions are getting smaller than before despite the price hike - especially the signature rendang dish. Rice portions under served - not equivalent to one bowl at least. Happened on many occasions in raffles place, Vivo city, paya lebar and star vista outlets.
