[Food Review] Froth Cafe @Big Hotel (Middle Road, Bugis)

by - Tuesday, August 25, 2015

Had a great luncheon the other day at Froth. I love this hidden treasure tucked right under the basement of Big Hotel. Convenient location aside, this cafe serves yummy, fingerlicking menu and has a quiet and relaxing ambience. Away from the bustle of most cafes on a weekend, this is a retreat you can take your time to rewind at.

See, ample spacious surroundings. Come after breakfast hours as I suspect they serve breakfast buffet for the guests to avoid crowds.
The first hotel cafe I have been to at such an affordable rate.

No need to rush and plenty of allowance for you to linger over after your meal. Even if you are on your own, this is a good place to chill with the good food and to get your things done up.
Here's the order:
Dorito Crust Winglets $11.90

These wings are some of the tastiest, crispy and shiok wings I had. Coated with crunchy Doritos, these mini wings are simply spicy hotness awesome!!

Tender and so savory flavorful. You have to try out seriously. Bang!!

Cheesy Lobster Sandwich $22,90
Snipper lobster chunks come drizzled with mentai mayo, melted cheese and tobiko. YEAH!
Simple but oh-go-good all round homely taste.

Left: Toasted Marshmallow Milkshake and Right: Bubblegum Milkshake
Awfully blissful to be slurping away and ending with a sweet note.
Not too overly sweet and just nice for a touch of happiness.

Last bu not least we also had the Seafood Tom Yum Risotto $23.90
Cooked in Tom Yum paste and topped with squids, clams and prawns. This portion is perfect for sharing.  Every mouthful of the risotto was spicy 'shiokness' and  yummy-satisfying.

Even the plating presentation is exquisite.
It can get too hot as you go on so if you can't take spicy perhaps this is not for you but if you love thai food and everything else then yes, go ahead.

Please do try them out because their menu is really good. Good service, excellent taste. They are famous for the Taro Waffles so if you love some sweets, consider Froth Cafe.
With my sweetie gal who always gave me much support and taken by the very amiable staff.
