[Cafe Hopping in Singapore] The Bakery Chef ( Bukit Merah/ Redhill)

by - Thursday, August 27, 2015

In celebration of our nation's big birthday on 9th Aug, The Bakery Chef launched an exclusive edition of their ice cream cone. Had been attracted by the very widely instagrammed blue and white soft serve version but alas, they had changed the version inline with the SG50 festive moods.

Nonetheless, had a try at this red and blue version instead. Comprising of Sea Salt and Bandung and topped with little honey stars ( no doubt a play on our national flag's 5 stars symbol). Pretty in appearance, the serving was generous and worth the bucks. Best to share out the calories!

The slight saltiness of the Sea Salt flavor helps balanced out the sweetness of Bandung making it a perfect combi.

Became over obsessed trying to capture the cone at various angles before it melts. =)

Sea Salt and Bandung Ice Cream, $4.50

Smooth and milky

If that's not enough, have your sweet tooth satisfied with the pretty rainbow cake $5.80.
I love the petite version which means you can easily have it on your own if you are really in a bad mood and need to destress. Girls love sweets don't we?

Anyway I love the light, dense and fluffy nature. Not too overly sweet as well.
This remains as one of their top favourites by customers till today.

The bakery chef also specialisez in whole cakes with advance orders.
No GST and Service Charges in this quiet nice ambience cafe.
