Healing Food

I was introduced to Elemen and fell in love with their vegetarian and wellness concept. To began with, I am definitely not the faithful vegetarian, loving more to have my fair share of meat as well. But being in Elemen really did change my perception and enlighten me on the creatives and nutrients vegetarian dishes can bring. Not only so but Elemen prides themselves in promoting a harmonious and sustainable environment with the way the food ingredients are sourced from. Amazingly popular with the local crowd, we turned up to a full-house full of patrons.

We definitely agreed that to enjoy an assortment and sample a variety of dishes, to go for their 5 or 8 Course Sets ( $23.50++ / $32.80).
Because we had a big group of 6, we ordered various sets and some ala-carte. The choices for sets are all available from the ala-carte menu but if you were to order the items per se, liked we did prior, it will cost you lots more. Overall, it will be more economical to order the set.  We tried 6 out of their total 12 mains and came out happy with the selections.
Here's what we had.
( All prices below are ala-carte)

White Mushroom and White Truffle  Pizza

$15.80
The aromatic truffle oil waffled and sauteed mushrooms leave us craving for more of its crispy thin base. Arugula leaves added on to the overall crunch.

Spicy Shiitake with Purple Rice

$15.80
Sounds so healthy right?
Instead of white rice, purple rice rich in antioxidants were used. Carrots, cucumber hints of spiciness and lots of shiitake made up the positive combi.

Mushroom Risotto with Black Truffle

$15.80
The risotto was not rice but rice puffs mixed in with mushroom and aromatic truffle. Quite an acquired sensory experience but definitely something to grow fond of as you tuck in more spoonfuls.

Edamame Tofu with Black Truffle Wild Rice

$15.80
This was delicious. Yes, truffle again I realised as I am writing this. Guess they use a lot of truffle in their dishes. The rice and crispy tofu were a match and easily tucked into.

Salted Egg Pasta

$15.80
Creamy salted egg paste and mixed vegetables made this a colorful dish.

Sizzling Quinoa Brown Rice

$15.80
This is the last main that we had. Resembling Korea's Bibimbap, this hot stone quinoa brown rice was surprisingly a pleasure to have despite having no meat elements in it. With just veggies such as carrot, capsicum, mushrooms and kidney beans, it was simple yet appetising.
Recommended.

Quinoa Salad

$5.80
Juicy fresh watermelon cubes with quinoa topping in savoury sauce.]
A delight to start off the meal.

Kale Salad

$5.80
Fresh but slightly bitter kale and needs sweetness from the melon cubes or the dressing to add more dimensions to the flavors. However, was not our favourite and paled slightly in comparison.

Peach Oolong Tea

$4.80
Choose between this or their Lavender wellness tea.

Yuzu Mint Mojito

$4.80
A refreshing tangy drink that we liked. Try it.

Apple Vinegar

$0.80 per glass.
We had this one-shot. Not alcohol but apple vinegar glass.

Appetisers For Sets

For the sets, it came with starters which were pre-fixed.
Here we were served cherry tomato, sushi and mushroom with edamame.

Mushroom Cream Soup with Truffle Oil

$6.80
Sets also come with a choice of soup. You can make a selection between 4 choices of Chinese-style or western-style soup.

Bread Stick

$2.80
The 8-course set also comes with bread sticks with Raspberry Sauce. A delightful happy way to start the mains.

Desserts

Raspberry Vanilla Dome $6.80
Unfortunately, it did not come in a pretty plating as shown in the menu and taste wise, did not really work out for us.
Doubled Boiled LemongrassWith Peach Gum $6.80
Beauty dessert for us.
Coconut infused jelly with watermelon sorbet $5.80
Fairly mediocre though, did not wow us.

 Eat To Health

Nice ambience, friendly service staff who were quick to attend to us despite the crowd and explained how their ordering works.
If you need any occasional diet cleansing, consider Elemen.
