[Food Review] Bara Kaisendon @Teppei Syokudo (Millenia Walk)

At no service charge and hardly any queue, this is the place to be if you are craving for some Kaisen don.  Housed in a simple relatively small shopfront in Millenia Walk, Eppei Syokudo sports a simple, oriental fuss-free decoration and though there are not too much seating, the turnover was pretty fast. A pretty good place for lunch or dinner.

Now for the star- Barachirashi ($16)
Be delighted with the generous portions of sashimi marinated cubes atop sushi rice. Just look at the mountain of bright orange, pinks and reds!
 Gorgeous right?

The fatty cubes were sliced to perfection and really chewy and sweetly fresh. It was a worthy price to pay and even though the sushi rice can’t be refilled, I don’t see that as a hindrance to anyone returning back for more.
Downside?  It was a tad too salty and I wished the amount of marinade could be lessen to suit  local taste.
Still, it was an awesome delightful Kaisen don dining experience!
