Hi folks, the Sugar app  ( Download now for great deals if you haven't: http://www.wewantsugar.com/)  brought me to this wonderful cafe know as The Tastemaker located right along the hearts of Havelock, a 5-10mins walk from the Tiong Bahru MRT station.
Centrally located, this minimalist cafe with it's clean lines is the perfect spot for a relaxing cup of coffee or tea.

Every corner of the cafe is so seriously photo-worthy .

This long table is almost becoming the signature for the Tastemaker cafe, so many instagrams of it. Love that it's so prettily decorated with all the little ornaments, giving customers fun and opportunities to shoot their #foodporn photos.

Pretty right? Little ornaments at the tables can really lighten up customers' moods.

Ordered a Matcha Latte $5.

Powdered Japanese Green tea mixed in with caffeine and steamed milk makes it a thick and aromatic drink. Nice cup of latte without over sweetness. Was really happy they serve this as it's not yet common ( excluding Starbucks). This thick frothy drink was what I was looking for. 

 However the aircon's a bit stong and can turn your drinks cold fast. Happily sip while hot.

Natural light streams in from the cafe together with the dim soothing in-house lights, creating a very bright and cheery vibe. I suggest sitting near the windows if you want to people watch. :)

 Wanted to order yam cake but was Out of stock that day... bummer. So I had the Lemon Curd Toast with Clotted Cream- $5.80.

The toast came warm and fluffy and makes a great combination when spread with lemoncurd- a kind of jam made from lemon, egg yolk, sugar and fruit juice cooked till thick and cooled to a soft yummy spread!

Zesty, citrus taste but not overly sour, making an excellent mid-afternoon snack!

And I love taking photos there... opps... too clean and serene a setting not to take advantage of.
Head on to The Tastemaker Store if you want to avoid huge crowds ( weekdays). Think weekends can be packed as well. Nonetheless a cool, relaxing cafe to be in.
