by - Thursday, August 28, 2014

F&N Creameries is no stranger to Singapore’s ice cream scene. For generations, F&N has served many homes with their classic ice cream flavours under the flagship F&N MAGNOLIA, Meadow Gold and King’s ice cream brands. Embodying the true blue Singaporean spirit, F&N collaborated with local culinary experts to introduce a range of artisanal ice-cream, The Inspired Chef.

Just last week, we witnessed the launch of The Inspired Chef Artisanal Ice Cream at FairPrice Xtra's latest outlet at Kallang Wave Mall.

The Inspired Chef range was born of an idea out of Singapore which brought together the best culinary experts in our country to craft a product of their creative inspiration. The result is a selection of handcrafted, signature ice  cream for the most discerning palates to indulge in premium artisanal ice  cream flavors that combine local taste traditions with top international quality ingredients.

In celebration of National Day this Singapore Inspired brand of premium ice-cream was launched at NTUCFairPrice, Singapore’s leading supermarket retailer, a brand close to the hearts of all Singaporeans.

The launch sees the offer of four unique artisanal ice cream flavours by The Inspired Chef range. Specially handcrafted by locally renowned chefs which includes Chef Willin Low, Chef Pang Kok Keong and chefs from Bakerzin

From L to R: Adeline Lee, General Manager of F&N Creameries Singapore Pte Ltd, Mr Seah Kian Peng, CEO of NTUC FairPrice Co-operative Limited, Chef Willin Low of Wild Rocket and Dato' Ng Jui Sia, CEO, Non-alcoholic beverages, Fraser and Neave Limited.

Chef Willin Low of Wild Rocket's creation was inspired by his favourite childhood snack, gong tng or peanut brittle when he formulated Double Peanut Fudge.
Here's one with Chef Willin.

True to his culinary style that combines western cuisine with a local flavour, Double Peanut Fudge promises a heavenly peanut butter ice cream infused with bits of crunchy peanut candy brittle and drizzled with dark chocolate fudge – a dream dessert for those who love a sweet treat with wonderful crunchy bits!
Here's his creation. I really enjoyed tucking into this localized Singaporean flavor. With Peanut Butter and Gong Tng, this is the perfect ice cream marriage creation.

Visitors itching to get their hands on the delectable ice creams~~~

On the other side, we were served with  Chef Pang Kok Keong of Antoinette's. He chose to go classic with Raspberry Cheesecake Rumble – the velvety goodness of cream cheese ice cream swirled with freshly hand picked raspberry coulis, topped with humble butter crumble for an added crunch.

And here, guests got a taste of the new creation that is already available in Antoinette, served with Raspberry Cheesecake Rumble.

Cooking up a storm~~literally

Gorgeous, yummy concoction of Fried Toast, ice cream and Phyllo pastry

Unveiling the 4 new flavors under The Inspired Chef Series.~

The 3rd and 4th selections come from the chefs of Bakerzin, a leading local patisserie.
Cocoa-lovers are in for a treat with Divine Chocolate Tart, impressing with a rich blend of fine chocolate ice cream, topped with butter crumble and a dash of sea salt. The adventurous can also opt for the unique taste of White Chocolate & Black Sesame ice cream – a harmonious combination of luscious white chocolate ice cream and savoury black sesame that is set to tantalize the taste buds of even the most demanding ice cream connoisseurs..

The White Chocolate & Black Sesame ice cream wins on bring back nostalgic childhood memory of sweet sesame Tang Yuans (round dumplings). Fragrant and delightful enjoyment.
