[ Eating Dim Sum in Singapore] Late night style? Swee Choon Dim Sum is for you.

by - Monday, May 26, 2014

Family and I headed for some yummy Dim Sum at Swee Choon. Actually this was recommended by my brother, always praising how good they are, how affordable and how they are only opened at night all the way till the wee hours, blah blah. Actually I was not too keen on gorging myself with my favourite dim sum way late at night. You know you should not eat too much at night for easier digestion right??! Eat like a beggar at night sounds familiar?

Since everyone was so keen and excited, I shall not be a spoiler and there we were- Dim Sum for Dinner at 9pm. Wooooo~~

Was appalled by the vast variety available... and not just Dim Sum, you can get cooked dishes, Zichar Chinese Style, like Fried Rice, Stir Fried noodles, Sweet Sour Fish.... everything! You named it they have it.
Tell the server outside you need a table for how many pax, they then will hand you a chit-sheet and just tick what you want.

The crowd was HUGE!!! Waiting line aside, the Massive and spacious seating area occupied by Swee Choon was no joke. From indoors to outdoors, all round it's perimeter some free streets down, they have their territory marked. More amazingly, every space was filled with diners already tucking in!
[Wanted to take pictures of the outdoor crowd but they were too many and too close for comfort]
Appalled by so many people who knew of this place ( except me turtle mountain) and having Dim Sum so late in the night -_-

Okay so here's the order!
Century Egg Porridge $2.80, Law Mai Kai $2.50

Crispy Pork Ribs with Salt & Pepper $8.00

Carrot Cake (2x) $2.00.
We also ordered Spring rolls (2x) $2.00 which I forgot to take photos of,

Siew Mai (2x) $1.80. The Siew Mai were awesomely stuffed with grounded meat and shrimps.
Har Kow (2x) $2.40 not bad and of course we ordered double.

Beancurd Chicken Roll (2x) $2.20. Chicken stuffed with crabstick and wrapped with Beancurd skin, steamed and quite unique.

Shrimp Fried Rice $5.50

Eggplant with Spicy Meat Sauce $7.00 is awesome finger-licking!

Drunken Chicken in Shao Xing Wine $5.50 (below left), Fried Dou Miao with Garlic $6.00

Grass Jelly SOya Bean Milk $1.80

Jasmine Tea $1.20 per pax.

There's even a service bell for ordering or settling your bill. But we basically just waved our hands.
Overall, it was a happy, satisfying meal with our taste buds and stomach filled. Service was prompt, not much of waiting for food or in getting a seat. Dim Sum and dishes were up to expectations as well.

Plus reasonably priced and there you have it, wonderful Dim Sum affair to end your night!

Monday to Sunday 6pm to 6am; Close on Tuesday.

( not the easiest place to get unless you lived/work around the area or if you drive)

Totally random, but along the way out, we spotted this stylo-oldies vehicle, which I don't know its brand.

Cute right? Okay, saying Bye! Till next time~
