SAMPLE STORE X GIFTOPIA — THE SPIRIT OF GIVING

by - Monday, October 17, 2016

The Sample Store X Giftopia event happened just last weekend at Raffles City and was organized to celebrate the spirit of gifting. Gone may be the times when we send mails to each other frequently, but there is always time to bring them back and Giftopia celebrates that with the specially curated sets of postcards that you can purchase and send them to your loved ones in Singapore.

This year's event saw lots of local entrepreneurs and merchants promoting their brands and we in turn got to know them too.
Here's what we saw which perhaps serves as an early Christmas gift idea for you too?

KarMart
New to Thai beauty products? Look no further than with KarMart — the importer and distributor of beauty products from all over Thailand.
2 series of their beauty and makeup brands — CathyDoll and Reun Rom are 2 brands to look out for. Though spotted to be marketed towards the Thai market, with its Thai wordings on the packaging, the products are all formulated, R&D and produced in Korea, so consumers can be assured of the quality.

CathyDoll's kawaii packaging is a killer for for girls who love pinkish cutesy stuff on their vanity table.

Cathy Doll's new Geisha series is really adorable.

Makeup removal in the form of a brush foam cleanser. This is cool and it removes makeup very well.
Found the product to be Cathy Doll Ready 2 White 2in1 Bubble mousse cleanser  and I am definitely recommending it.

Que Origins
Developed by a local Singaporean and manufactured and formulated in Korea, this brand advocates natural harmless ingredients in their body washes, moisturizers and more.
The scrubs smelt really great and looking at the labels with all the ingredients clearly stated really brings us a piece of mind that harmful ones stay away.

BeautyKeeper
This new brand from Taiwan is the brand to watch. Targeting currently customers in Singapore and Malaysia, BeautyKeeper has especially curate the bestselling beauty brands in Taiwan and make them available on our shores. Yes, we saw an array of different brands which we had never really heard of in Taiwan but that's the aim of BeautyKeeper, to introduce you to explore homegrown Taiwanese beauty brands and products!
They have just launched on Saturday and their website is now live~ Go on ~
We spoke with the owners from Taiwan and they were really nice and engaging.

More details on the products they have so generously shared with us in the upcoming posts.

Here's all mine! ( Not =D)

Wild Harvest Care
An Australian brand focusing on products that are 100% natural with no harmful additives.

What caught our eyes were the Wild Harvest Care coffee scrub for body in well, coffee bags lookalike.
I have to recommend this as it was really good.
Not only does it the scrub smells aromatic coffee-ly, it does its job well in smoothening the skin on our trial. The ingredient list was really comforting as there were no long, unfamiliar chemical names and everything was just pure ingredients such as coffee beans and essential oils.

We were told the scrubs are really suitable for sensitive skin which I believe. Having sensitive skin, I always kept a lookout for harsh ingredients in products.
Fact is unless if you are allergic to the oils used as listed, there is really no cause to worry about.

Another interesting product was the Emu Oil. I have not seen it in fact and this pure extract smelt really nice with the lavender essence added in.
Really smooth, the emu oil is said to be good for intense moisturizing and softens skin over time. Good for eczema and skin irritation

13Rushes
If brushes are what you need, this brand makes a good choice. Though synthetic, they were, surprisingly really soft and fluffy. We witnessed how the Foundation Brushes pick up products with just the right amount and note overdoes it.
Truly quality brushes de.inged by the owner

Flipping Notes
Handcrafted floral bouquets all too pretty.
