Identical Gathering
To kick things started, we had a special preview at Wild Wild Wet on 4 June and were part of the Singapore Book of Records for tHe ‘Largest Gathering of Dress Alike Duos.’ We of course also have to dress to the occasion and came in identical LINE X BROWN t-shirts.
It was all very fun and engaging as we really saw many identical pairs in the theme park early in the morning at 9 am and these early birds were granted free admission for dressing identically! It was loads of laughter and joy as the stage game followed and the announcement of the Singapore Book of Records was made. Everyone went home a winner with a Certificate of Participation in hand and vouchers from the sponsors.
With the public who were all game at creating the identical-dressed Singapore Book of Records.
There was also a best-dressed competition for the public and whimsical showcases by the couples.
This pair of adorable boys went home with the top prize!
Nothing can challenge the contestants as they flaunted their skills with catwalks, martial arts and even booties shaking.
WOOSH Your Way Down!
What got us really excited? An exclusive first-hand trial at the Woosh ride (before the crowd looms in). The Woosh, as its name suggests lets you slide down, freestyle and fast ( faster when you sat on the float than on your butt). Feel the excitement and the wind in your hair as you slide down 4.5m high, 50 meters long slide!
Well, it’s not every day that we play with heights so definitely you may need some accustomed to and may feel slightly apprehensive on the first attempt. It’s only natural, no? But I promise you after the first attempt, you will be happy and in glee and will be tempted to keep on going! You will be safe, just enjoy the thrill!
The dual lanes were made for you and your buddies to challenge each other to see who can slide furthest…Who will win?
Available for a limited time*, try out Woosh this holidays!
Inject some new excitement for the whole family or with friends while spending a fulfilling weekend bonding, and getting some fitness done!
*1 June-30 July 2017: School Holidays, Public Holidays, Friday-Sundays only
Adrenaline Rush!
After having a go at Woosh, I became braver (literally) and was raring to try out all the other rides in the park as well!
Royal Flush, Your Highness
We went on to challenge other rides such as the latest addition Royal Flush. I strongly recommend this ride!
Once again, the fear factor may get to you initially, but as long as you feel fine and are well, just go for it! You will not regret the exhilarating experience. It was all of 1 minute perhaps (?) but gosh, the 360deg flush turn at the middle was a stunner! The Royal Flush is Asia’s first hybrid ride combining the Behemoth BOWL40 and TornadoWAVE — a two-in-one experience! This ride allows you to sit with maximum 4pax together and it was really fun! We even went twice, no joke.
Tip: Be there early to shorten the waiting queue time.
What was awesome? This handsome staff made a world of difference with his exemplary service and smiles to the guests. Thumbs Up.
This ride ( the highest one in yellow at the background) is a near-vertical full body drop up to 55km/h at a whopping six-storey high!
Hey daredevils, this ride will definitely be your cup of tea.
For the kids, adults and everyone else basically, there is the Kids Zone, with a collection of engaging and gentle rides and slides suitable for the young. This is a new addition to the park!
For the kids, there's also another fun water zone at Professor's Playground.
For gentler, relaxation fun, head to Tsunami and Shiok River
Tsunami as its name suggest, “shocks” you up with bouts of tsunami waves.
How does it feel?
You keep on bobbing up and down. Fun if you don’t have sea-sickness, it gets a bit like that if you stay for too long. The “shocks” only come in certain timing when the bell rings! Otherwise it is simply an ordinary big pool whereby you can take down the complimentary floats and swim or float around.

There are also pretty, bigger floats like unicorns, doughnuts etc. available for rental at $6.
Shiok River, Shiok La
If you wish to go with the (water) flow, then this is the lazy ride to be in. Sit on your float, sprawl and let the currents carry you as you cruise the theme park, enjoying the bursts of music and scenery. It’s a lovely day so why waste it?
I nearly chickened out but thankfully. Stay on and zoom down this awesome ride! It's a popular ride with snaking queue but was really much gentler than The Royal Flush in terms of sudden excitements and it zooms fast and smooth. For this ride, you can sit in the float with as many people as you like, possibly up to 6/8 if it’s a mix of kids and adults. Even young kids tried and remained fairly poker-faced. I really marvel them, but that's another story.
Slide Up
This U-curve steep fall oscillates. But before that you have to do some hand exercises and carry the float up all the way. That's the girls up there.
All rides do not allow camera, go-pro, goggles, sunglasses of sorts to be brought up during the rides. The milder rides such as in the pools are fine.

Why I love Being a Wild Wild Wet Baby
Now, what I love about Wild Wild Wet is looks and feels spanking new. I mean after the renovation, everything looks bright, cherry, perfect and well maintained, way different from what I remembered way back and I am glad I came by again to rekindle my water lover.
Lockers Area
Getting a locker is almost like a ritual if you are in Wild Wild Wet and the advanced locker system does it very fell to facilitate the heavy crowd. You simply choose the your locker color zone, type of lockers, duration of rental ($6 for 4 hours is the cheapest and you can squeeze 2persons’ belongings at least), enter your date of birth (DOB) and done!
You will be allocated with a locker number which activates instantly. The fact that no change was given left us stumped for a moment but thankfully we had exact. It will be great if there is a notes/coins changing machines available too I guess.

Other than that, you don’t need locker pads and you don’t even have to remember your locker number! When you wish to open your locker, just key in your DOB and ‘pop’, your locker number appears! You may open and close unlimited times, no charges incurred.
Did I talk too much about lockers? Opps! I simply was fascinated with such advancement.
Communal Showers
I was rather happy about it seriously. Newly done up, the toilet and shower room was huge with ample stalls and can house many visitors at the same time. Of course, it may not be the cleanest showering stall, but for me I was really satisfied with it. Considering it was way better than many community swimming pools, sports hall or gym areas. Anyway, it was all good and there were brackets and handles for stuff.
Well the water temperature can’t be set to cold or hot and there’s no shower gel like a private gym, but good and clean enough for a quick wash.
Even for someone like me who seldom gets into the water or swims, the theme park certainly ignites the adventurous side of me. Get gorgeous views of the park from the 2nd level of the F&B area.
End the day right and fill up your stomachs with an extended variety of F&B options available. There are so many choices, you will be spoilt. We finally settled with Eighteen Chefs for hearty meals that replenished our energies. More eateries slated to open in the later stages.
Why Wait? Plan your Water Adventure!
Not matter what your inclination for thrills may be, there is something for the whole family and with friends! So come on down today and enjoy happy fun times to cool yourself from the sweltering heat! at Wild Wild Wet.
