Its Origin

Asiatique The Riverfront has its origin dated back to the 19th century and held its for as the Port of East Asiatic, sparking off trade between the Kingdom of Siam and the European nations. Today the port has been restored and is know more widely known as 'Asiatique The Riverfront', a night lifestyle destination

Night-some Shopping Market

Asiatique- this awesomely cool Night Market/Shopping destination is your riverfront dining and shopping paradise with lots of Alfresco dining options. Experience the riverside lifestyle along the Chao Phraya River with a wide array of international restaurants and wine bars while taking in the breathtaking panoramic view.

As mentioned there are so many bars and restaurants for those under-the-stars dining experience near the river. I suggest you have dinner at Asiatique for a romantic, chill experience. It was a pity as we already had our dinner and thus were not able to have much over there.

Enjoy performances too!

The Zones

Seriously there was no plan. We walked randomly and just sightsee whatever is available.
Apparently the area is divided into 10 Warehouse Zones, all numbered for convenience.
If you care to search for the zones, here's a breakdown on what you can find at each zones:
Warehouse 1: Art and Home Decoration
WH 2, 3, 4: Handicrafts and Souvenir
WH 1,2,3, 4: Health and Beauty
WH 5, 7, 8: Fashion & Accessories
WH 8, 9: Hip Zone aka the Fashionables
WH 6: Food Circus
WH 4,7,8,9,10: Bars and Restaurants

Asiatique is one of the best place where you can find those thailand big pack bundled snacks at wholesale pricing! I had thought I could get these snacks at better cheaper pricing at supermarkets or Chatuchak etc. Alas, there was none sold anywhere else and though occasionally I do come across such wholesale packagings, they were much more expensive and by then I had already missed my chance. So there, if you wanna buy snacks in bulks, these 2 stalls are the best choice for you.
You can find them at 'Mei Jeng Sieng (3130) WH3 and Ninja Fruits (3018-3019) WH3.

Flowers blooms~

How Reasonable Are The Prices?

Asiatique is very much a touristic spot with its well-designed facade, clean comfy environment and air-conditioning etc. Locals, I mean the majority of the working-class anyway, wouldn't be spot shopping here. At least not as many when you compared to downtown markets like Talad Rot Fai or Chatuchak. Thus, I wouldn't classify this place for true blue local authentic experiences, but rather an upgraded shopping district with a theme to it. I would say the pricing of the stuff there are mid-range.

What is attractive could well be the dining sector where you can see locals herded in crowds. Asiatique has a nice ambience for night outdoor dining definitely.

If you spot a crowd that's where cheap stuff is.

Assorted varieties of leather goods with personalised carvings services are all the rage now.

Fashion section.

Head onto the Asiatique Sky if you want to ride on. If not take a photo under the beautiful lights.

Transportation

There are many private operators from either nearby hotels or river dining cruise etc. But if you are only concern with the FREE Shuttle Service provided by Asiatique, then this is how it looks like. This water shuttle brings you to and froth from the Asiatique Riverfront pier and BTS SaPhan Taksin Station. Shuttle boat journey is fast and takes about 5mins.

Timing

Asiatique is only open at night.
Daily: 5 pm- Midnight. ( LAST Shuttle Boat leaves at 1130pm, so take note)
Best to come early as you often have to queue for the shuttle boat for about 30 minutes, towards Asiatique's direction. On the other hand, the waiting time for the return boat back to the BTS was fast and all of the 10minutes.
Alight at BTS SaPhan Taksin Station. There will be signages indicating the boarding of the Asiatique boats, follow the exit and join in the queue.
