1000 Sook Food and Farm, Hua Hin, Thailand

I was extremely glad we made the decision to head to 1000 Sook Food and Farm which turned out to be such a fun destination. Prior to that, I did not research much nor had any expectations of the farm but the farm had turned out to be much bigger and interactive than I had imagined.

There were plenty of interaction opportunities with the farmed animals which were all so adorable! It was not just another typical photo spot with nothing to do. The place itself definitely evoked an instant perk-me-up kind of feeling.

The seemingly calm sheep pen, before feeding time.

During feeding time, the sheep were released and created an adorable chaos as they rushed for grasses.
Waiting patiently at first...
...and then a clamouring mad rush once humans held out the greens to them...

... even if it meant stacking on top of each other.

Visitors can pay a token for these grasses for feeding.

Beaming with joy when I patted these gentle ponies feeding on the grasses. 1000 Sook Food & Farm exudes a countryside homely farm feel which was warm and engaging to both adults and young children alike. There was no foul smell and the surrounding was pleasant and cheery.

Come Close

If you are an animal activist, do not worry about these animals getting caged up in undesirable conditions. The animals were farmed in a humane, proper manner and were allowed freedom to roam around and interact with humans.

Hello Furry!

My favourite has got to be the rabbits' house - 100 Sook Bunny Cottage. I could have stayed right at the rabbits' pen house for 2 to 3 hours if time had permitted.

For just a small amount, you can feed these adorable bunnies at certain timings. As I roamed around, many more photo opportunities appeared with these fluffies. So fun!

These madly adorable cuties totally made my day. Despite being a bit apprehensive at first, my guard was instantly let down after a few minutes in the huge rabbit pen. It was such a simple bliss for people like me who do not own pets. Just imagine, the kiddos will be extremely happy too —  patting and interacting with the various different breeds.

These huggies TOTALLY melted my heart. I must have spent 45 minutes in the penthouse tickling, stroking and (trying) to take selfies.  It was my first time being in such close proximity and there must have been over dozens of these gentle, hyper-friendly rabbits — totally not afraid of strangers.

The keeper at the pen was also very kind to help me with the photos. If you topped up for a fee you could have purchased carrots and fed the groupies as well. Once visitors dangled out those carrots, the rabbits would immediately clamour over you, making for an instaworthy shot.
I would totally recommend this place for everyone young and old for a happy time!

Farm Surroundings

Back to the grounds of the Farm.
The farm was beautifully done up with many spots for photo taking.

Christmas decorations were up nearing the season.

With many scenic spots for photos everywhere within.

More ponies...

All in all, 1000 Sook Food and Farm is a happy pill and definitely worth the visit. It is a good escape from the concrete walls of the cities to be back in a laidback happy environment.
Don't forget!

As an afternote, we have eliminated a lot of man-made "tourists spots" in Hua Hin which was surprisingly lining along the main streets of Hua Hin towards Bangkok. Santorini Park was a great example. Last I heard this white creation has turned into a deserted zone with shops vacated and nothing to do but to take photos in the created environment. Jump the wagon and skip that attraction.
