[EATS] PLAIN JANE SWISS ROLL CAFE — COUNTRY HOME SWEETNESS ( SERANGOON)

County Home. Whimsical Joy.
As with all things soothing and at peace, this little cafe seated in the far fledged end of Serangoon Central is tastefully decorated with sparks joys of childhood reflected through its tasteful displays. Selling only Swiss rolls and drinks, that's quite a niche for a cafe.
If you are looking for something light and non-substantial, this is the place to be. However if you need a filling meal, this place fall shorts with its limited choices.

Look Through My Lens.
We love the space and the intricate country-cottage style decorations with its homely feel and the large ceiling windows with the warm sunshine shining. Seats are plenty and makes for a good place to while away time.

However, to be honest, the sweet rolls did not leave us with a very deep impression and was tasted much like Swiss rolls elsewhere. Though it was good in a not-overwhelming-sweet kind of way, the flavors did not do much to make us yearn for another repeated visit.
We had the raspberry and green tea flavor  at $5.90/ slice with a pot of Hot Pandan Chiffon Tea $6/pot.

Here's the deed
From the map it seems the walking distance is short from Serangoon MRT but actually, walking was quite a chore as it's quite far, plus the blazzing sun didn't help.
Take heed.
