Thanks for reading my past few posts on travels.... hope those will come in handy when planning for your upcoming trips!
Coming up in the next few posts will be all the yummy eats I had had the chance to indulge in.  Please look forward to the posts!

 The East Bureau 東局
So my sweetie introduced me to this wonderful dining place at East Bureau, which not only boosts of a splendor ambiance and interior decorations to boot, it is practically peaceful and non-rowdy in the day time.
From a business point of view, the lack of crowd might be too much to bear but for the customers of course, you got to have the whole restaurant to yourself and that's not too much of a bad thing.
More on the interiors visuals later.

Degustation Menu
This set lunch menu was really worth every penny spent at $34++ per pax.
Served in exquisite mini servings. This is the eptimoe of Fusion Fine Dining.
Relax and pace yourselves in between chats as the course are served 1 by after you have finished each. This is not a food court, so S-L-O-W down and savour.

Trio of Asian Inspired Amuse Bouche
Yes it's a mouthful. What these little trios are really are mouthfuls of gems ( literally).
Tom yum jelly with Tobiko and Arburi Salmon on the extreme right. Spice, sweet and everything nice really.
Drunken Chicken with cucumber. Savory with the immersion of the special concocted sauce.
Shooter of Savory Soy Panna Cotta with Shoyu Jelly and Minced Pork. Tasted savory Panna cotta before? Neither have I but this plays on your memory and triggers you to switch and appreciate a different kind of experience altogether. Awesome.

Duo of Starters
Yes we were only at the starters, but the first dish has already got us all happy and glee with expectation.
How exquisite will it be to taste Burmese Tea leaves amidst tomatoes and nuts paired with a oh-so-refreshing cup of Chicken Paitan Broth in a Teacup of Japanese Inspiration?
The combination is not familiar yet boots a high element of surprise!
Thumbs up.

Pouring the Chicken Paitan Broth in a Teacup can be so poetic.

Thai Basil Pork Gyoza with Homemade Thai Sauce
Can Gyozas look so fine? Yes apparently, when it's handcrafted and fried to crisp in juicy meaty fillings.  Not to mention the plating.

Cantonese Inspired Roast Chicken in Smoke.
 How inspiring!!
Encased in a conical cylinder, the warm roast is enveloped in before serving to customers.
Visually and sensory appealing dipped in baked salt on the side!

Trio of Beef
This oh-so-lovely plating contains beef cooked in 3 different style. Cumin seared NZ beef, Cambodian beef  with coconut accompaniment and seared beef with black bean butter.
Juicy and flavorful!

Youtiao Prawn Platter
This dish is in substitute for the beef dish if you don't take it. Butter prawns fried with crums and youtiao ( fired doughstick) on the side.

Such Exquisiteness.
The plating is an art on its own, so take time to appreciate it.

Mains
The mains arrived much to our anticipation and did not fail to impress.
SEA Inspired Signature Pasta sauteed in house blend of spices, local herbs with shrimps and Golden Fried Rice with Century Egg, Salted Egg and Seafood

Fried Rice was fragrant with the wok-hei and coated in eggs of various kinds.

Sauteed shell-pastas in a fragrant sweet-spicy sauce akin to fried Kway Tiao but definitely much more delicate because it's their house sauce blend.

Desserts
We are not, even near the end yet. 'Coz lo behold, there's still desserts to be served.
Yes. life's perfect.
We totally had no idea what went in the depths of the cute trio on the plate but they were mainly pomelo cream puff, panna cotta look-alike and osmanthus jelly.

The very friendly staff also helped us took multiple shots!

Conclusion
As you have read, we had nothing but praises for every item on the Degustation Menu from East Bureau and we think that they really do deserve more publicity and footfall based on the quality, taste and the affordable pricing.  The restaurant also makes for a beautiful dining experience too.  The location might be more secluded part of Marina Square but head up and be welcomed by the open-air cool.
Think Chinese oriental infused with western influences and Asian modern cuisine with a twist in class.

Call them for reservations on the Degustation Menu or for reservations. Recommended!
