The Souper Inspiration makes its return with the #TAKEMETOJAPAN series this time. Split into 2 rounds, I had the opportunity to attend a soupers tasting of the 1st round. Each round consists of 3 painstaking concoction from SouperChef Anna.

This post came late, sorry.
The 1st series was avail from 1 Sept to 21 Sept but if you missed it, fret not coz a new series was just launched last week and will see more exciting soups lasting from 22 Sept to 12 Oct. Do not  miss the chance to indulge in the taste of Japan while the Souper Series last.

Here's a recap on what went on back at the first session of the Take Me to Japan tasting.

Proudly sponsored by JNTO, they were there to grace the event as well

That's Anna giving a tour to the audience on her trip to Japan and how the inspirations for this new soup series came from.

First up.
"Salmon head tounyu nabe is filled with ichigo tsukune and finished with sweet potato starch harusame, literally meaning “spring rain”. Ichigo tsukune is a mix of ebi (hence the colour of strawberries or ichigo), nagaimo, mentaiko and tofu inspired by the chicken tsukune we had at Hanamidori. " -SouperChef Anna.

This is indeed a comforting one pot meal.

The hot piping creamy nabe soup was sweet and delicious, soy milk was used as the base and within you can find seafood and bites of salmon chunks. It was my favourite of the 3 soups though it's really up to each individual's preference- some like it, others don't.
Perhaps because I am a great salmon lover.

Nukujaga Wasabi Beef Stew
This wasabi beef stew plays on the mild spice of wasabi, added with a touch of cream and konnyaku for it's zero calorie miracle diet goodness.

We loved the really tender NZ grass-fed beef chunks immersed in the goodness of the stew.

For the vegans, there's the Japanese Style Vegan Sweet Potato Curry.
Think it wouldn't be filling without meat? Think again. Sweet potatoes are excellent sources of carbohydrates without causing the instant sugar level spike as compared to white rice. Filled with nutritious goodness, this wholesome bowl was mixed with Japanese purple and orange sweet potato added on with other veggies like carrots, red apples and mushrooms. Wholesome and delicious.
This bowl of curry soup is surprisingly guilt-free and not heavily spicy.

We ended the night with the Sesame Azuki Cake. Sweet!!

That's not all. From now till 12 Oct, not only will you be able to load up on these nutritious tasty-licious homemade soup, you will also be able to win FABULOUS PRIZES!! By that I mean a possible trip to Japan with tour package deals!! You don't even have to plan for it, Just pack your bags and fly!

Attractive isn't it?
