[Cafe Hopping in Singapore] Sunday Folks (Holland Village)

by - Monday, June 15, 2015

Finally had the chance to patronize Sunday Folks! Well famed for their waffle ice creams, you just have to flip through their IG #wafflesporn posts. We headed there one fine weekday afternoon  and despite it being so, there was a huge crowd and waiting time was required (though relatively quick).
Special mention to their very attentive and diligent service staff at the door who served, led us in and introduced in details the menu to us. This young Sg girl was really enjoying her work and paid attention to the needs of customers, pretty rare now these days.

Clean cut, clear display of the sweets welcomes you at the door.

All the toppings you can have.

Here's the order:
Waffles with Ice Cream Petite Size (Single Slice) $8.80 ( Double slices $11.80)
Freshly baked Belgium waffles paired with all the mini berries and drizzled with maple and chocolate hazelnut sauce.

Lovely pretty presentation isn't it?
Tasted happily sweet and didn't disappoint. Though the warmness of the eggy waffle was gone pretty quickly, it was still a nice combi especially with the Earl Grey Lavender Ice Cream we had chosen. Yums.
There are 6 flavors you can choose to go for with the waffles or have them in cones and cup separately.

Also had the Matcha Cake $7.90.
Soft and light fluffy sponge cake base with hints of bittersweet matcha.

Located within the hippie Chip Bee Gardens, right across Holland Village, this is one cafe I hope to return again for their ice creams and waffles.
