[Cafe Hopping in Singapore] Project Acai: Superfood Bowl ( Holland Village)
Have you heard of the latest health fab? Acai ( pronounced as Ah. Sigh. Ee) are actually berries growing in the Amazon rain forest and carries a scent of dark chocolate aftertaste. How yummy isn't it? Not only is Acai chocked with vitamins, high antioxidants and fibers, they are disease fighters and immunity boosters. So what's there not to embrace?
The first Acai store ( as far as I knew) landed in Singapore and created a buzz ( few months back). I was in particularly curious to find out how this delicious Acai Bowl would taste like.
Each Acai bowl is made on the spot, fresh and painstakingly piled up by the service crew.
Cutting up the fruits while layering them up, ready to be served is definitely not an easy preparation process. Meticulous and patience were definitely needed and at times I observed the crew had to redo a particular layout 'cause the fruits were not sliced proportionately or for whatever reasons.
All the yummy delicious toppings for the bowl.
There we have it, the Acai Bowl in 3 sizes: Handy $6.80, Medium $9.30 and Large $13.50.
The brown base below is actually Acai blended and tasted really awesome! Similar to chocolates (!!), which was really a surprise for me. It was such a happy bowl to tuck into.
Topped with fresh fruits, granola and other superfood toppings like Chia Seed, Goji Berries etc.
All your nutrients goodness packed into a Superfood Bowl!
I really do recommend you trying the Acai Bowls froem Project Acai. Good news if you live in the central area because they have already opened a new outlet in Ngee Ann City, Takashimaya S.C. Rejoice!
