[What to do in Singapore] Photographing Tiong Bahru and its surroundings

by - Thursday, February 26, 2015

Following from my post on What to eat and buy at Tiong Bahru, I have come up with this post just to share some snapshots of what I had taken around this quaint neighbourhood that has now turned into a hippy town more than ever. Plus some iconic buildings introduction.
Enjoy the photos!

The iconic Tiong Bahru CC.

Being the first CC in Singapore, sset up in _____. This 2 storey CC is located among the serene and now a hipster neightbour hood. This shows the side of the entrance along Seng Poh road, neare to the Tiong Bahru Market. From afar you can see the diistinctive archeticture that the CC is significantly lower in height in respect to the surrounding pre-war estates. Amazing?

Flanked by 2 buildings on either sides of the baskteball court.

From the other entrance along Eu Chin Street, the same archtiechture characteristics can be seen whereby the CC is "embraced" by the taller pre-war estates.

Around the estate...

How to get to Tiong Bahru:

Alight at Tiong Bahru MRT. Exit towards McDonald's and at the bustop in front, take any bus number. Alight 1 stop later. Cross over to the Tiong Bahru Market and that's where all the fun begins,
