[Hopping around in Singapore] Tulipmania 2014 @Gardens By The Bay and Au Chocolat Foodporn

Now you don't have to fly to Holland/Amsterdam to catch tulips bloom~~Tulips gardens were right at our doorsteps here in Singapore weeks back.
Amazingly, I discovered through my friends overseas in countries such as Japan and Korea, tulip exhibitions were also held during this period in April/early May. Guess this was the season when tulips are at its peak and prettiest.

My first time at Tulipmania this year which happened from 14 April till 4 May at Gardens by The Bay.

So glad we went! Greeted by absolutely stunning tulips in bloom~~The sunshine overhead the dome in the conservatory cast some lovely sunlights for photography and we left the place in a bright, pretty mood :)

Something special this year was the introduction of Miffy as the mascot. Yes Miffy, the cute rabbit you see in cartoons or merchandises. I didn't remember Miffy appearing as the mascot around Tulipmania last year but correct me if I am wrong. This year, Miffy made its appearance for two weekends back on 18th and 25th April, in celebration of Easter Good Friday and King's Cross day respectively. Though we didn't go on those days, but we had fun nonetheless! KLM  was the official sponsor and had lots of promotional activities tied up as well for visitors.

This post will be loaded with tons of photos!! If you missed it this year, fret not as Tulipmania will still be back next year with more gorgeous tulips bloom.

Elderly couple looking over the blooms is simply the sweetest thing.

Anw we headed for some brunch at MBS and decided upon Au Chocolat.

The selections were massive, seriously, all kinds of choices from salads, creeps, mains are available and to our delight, portions were HUGE. Makes good for sharing!

First up! Quench your taste with the Cookies and Cream Milkshake $12.00
This is so awesome good! With it's rich and creamy flow and and crunchy cookies making it's way. Has been a long time since I had a milkshake so good. But please, this is huge enough for some sharing, else you might be too full for anything else. :)

My love starts with this.
Creamy Chicken and Mushroom Crepe $19
Tender succulent chicken bites mixed with sauteed mushrooms, bacon bits, garlic and sour cream makes it oh so mama-licious!!!
Crepe is huge and the fillings are ample, served with garden salad( in Au Chocolat's Chocolate Balsamic Vinegarette)

Say hi to Au Chocolat Benedict $18
2 poached eggs atop bacon, spinach, tomatoes, on English muffins, dipped with Hollandaise sauce, infused with red wine and dark chocolate. Can't even begin to describe this fine art as it was all so good.
Taste lovely with the crispy bacons, makes a happy hearted meal altogether.

LOVE EGGS!
