Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls, the annual Ben & Jerry Free Cone day is coming to town on 8th April! So quickly mark down on your calendars now and get yourself some jolly  Ben & Jerry ice cream~ a treat under our blasting hot weather.

Since its first anniversary in 1979, Ben & Jerry’s has thrown open the scoop shop doors and invited everyone and anyone in for a free cup or cone. The annual Ben & Jerry’s celebration is a way for the company to have some fun and say thank you for another year of support- especially for you, their customers.

In line with the company’s social mission of giving back to the community, Ben & Jerry’s is partnering The Children’s Charities Association of Singapore (CCA) for Free Cone Day 2014 to raise awareness and increase support for their worthy cause. CCA believes in working towards helping the physically, mentally and socially-disadvantaged children of Singapore, and giving them hope for the future.

To spread the peace, love and ice cream cheer even further, Ben & Jerry’s will also be bringing Free Cone Day on Wheels for the very first time in Singapore, visiting the 6 member charities benefitting under the umbrella of CCA, to leave no hands unconed!

Come Tuesday, April 8, from 12pm to 8pm, Ben & Jerry’s will be dishing out free scoops to all in attendance at these four locations as listed below:

I would strongly like to advocate that while you are enjoying your icy cool Ben & Jerry ice cream, to add a little more sweetness to the children's day by contributing donations at the scoop shops to help fund CCA programmes that will educate, train and assist beneficiaries to become independent and useful citizens.

Contributions amounts are totally up to your decisions but no matter big or small, your kind donations will go a long way in giving the children hopes for their future!

The Children’s Charities Association of Singapore (CCA) began as an unstructured group of charities who got together to organise joint fundraising projects in the 1960s to benefit children. CCA’s efforts are not only directed at alleviating the disablement of children but also at giving them hope for the future. They are now the coordinating body which organizes fundraising projects for member charities, which all work towards helping the physically, mentally and socially disadvantaged children of Singapore. There are currently six member charities under the purview of CCA, and they are single-minded in their efforts to educate, train and assist the children under their care to become independent and useful citizens who can play their role in the nation. 

The six member charities are:
 Singapore Children’s Society (SCS)
 Singapore Association for the Deaf (SADeaf)
 Cerebral Palsy Alliance Singapore (CPAS)
 Movement for the Intellectually Disabled of Singapore (MINDS)
 St Andrew’s Mission Hospital (SAMH)
 Association for Persons with Special Needs (APSN)
