[Food Review] Mad For Garlic Italian Wine Bistro
Do you know Mad for Garlic is an Italian restaurant originated from Korea and is now in Singapore? Actually their first outlet was opened in Suntec way back in July 2013 and I am glad to have the chance to finally visit this place!! ( which I think I might have 'accidentally' visited when I was in Seoul unknowingly back then)
First visit to Mad for Garlic at Suntec City and I must say the pizzas there were pretty good~
With a 100% homemade garlic menu and a 100% handmade fresh dough for its pizzas, Mad for Garlic promises high quality ingredients for its Italian food, based at an affordable price.
First up Tropical Veggie Pizza $19.90.
Bright colors, checked. Fragrance, checked. Taste? Awesome combination with the shrooms, capsicums, cherry tomatoes, pineapple cubes and home-made Garlic Ricotta Cheese. Crispy thin-papery crust gives it an additional plus. Eat it while hot from the kitchen!
We didn't taste much of any garlic flavor in the pasta dishes, rather they were more prominent in the pizzas and the seafood fried rice we ordered.
Seafood Tomato Pasta $24.60.
Fresh Seafood sauteed with Italian Tomato Sauce. It's more of a dry stirred-fried pasta version. The mussels, squids, prawns were all very juicy and fresh, but overall taste was pretty normal for me.
Clam and Seafood Pasta $23.50.
Clams and assorted varieties of seafood like prawns and squids. What makes this dish tick is definitely the fragrant White Wine Sauce together with the smooth pasta which transforms into a delightful slurping dish.
Garlic Snowing Pizza $22.50.
Pretty? Not only looks good but smells superb with the garlic crisps laid on top the pizza. The crispy crust is amassed with sweet pineapple dices, shrimps, and cheese sprinkles!
Totally unexpected, grated cheese were 'snowing' right upon us when served.
Very visual as well.
Last but not least, Assorted Seafood Rice $22.90.
Mix the chunks of garlic together with the rice and assorted seafood for a strong and tasty mouthful. Not too wet, the rice is fried till just nice.
Of course, Mad for Garlic also have a range of wine selections for to complement your dining experience.
The deco is exquisitely done up with touches of Garlics as well.
