The Amara Singapore Dining Experience — The Element on Tras and The Element

by - Saturday, September 16, 2017

If you are hungry or if you are reading this at night, risk your stomach grumbling.
Because, I am about to showcase an elaborate page of yummy selections over at Amara Singapore. If you think that Amara Singapore is just another hotel located in the hearts of the CBD at Tanjong Pagar, think again. Even as a non-staying hotel guest, you can still enjoy exclusive dining and chilling expereinces. Be it for a sumptuous buffet spread at the Element  or a wind-down drink at Element on Tras, the choices are aplenty.

 Element on Tras

First, let's head outdoors to Element on Tras sporting an alfresco bar and wine concept. Element on Tras serves an amazing array of Spanish Tapas, to my ultimate delight. Yes, I do not think it is easy to spot authentic Spanish tapas in Singapore but over here, you can be spoilt for choice with over 10 varieties to choose from.

To go with your wine, beer, choose from a menu of tapas ( small bites) selections. The chef helming the bar menu now has had training in Spain and had just returned to Singapore.

Huevos Rotos $9

To wheat up your appetite, we had the Huevos Rotos  which, puting it to laymen term, is akin to a crowning nest base of potatoes fritter strips, laid with a 63 degC poached egg amidst fried chorizo (pork sausage). It was akin to tucking into a potato pizza without the dough base. In it, you can taste the light saltiness which enhanced the flavor. Really good to start off with if you are hungry. Not to mention these chips made a good drink companion and were gone within minutes.

Croquetas de Jamón con Aioli $12

This is no fluffy dough. In fact it is an Iberian ham croquettes with garlic aioli and topped with bonito flakes. this huge croquette had us really carbo-happy and its a really simple delight.  You have to try it out

Besides tapas, look out for the mains and starters too.

Squid Ink Paella $18

My favorite came in the form of the Squid Ink Seafood Paella. Came in a standard size, this is not the largest I have seen, but serves well for 2pax if you are planning a hearty carbs meal. It is not easy to find authentic paella in Singapore without the hefty price tags. But here in Element on Tras, the price was fairly reasonable. The base was well cooked on stove with the crispy crust we all enjoy. The squid ink, stocks and fragrance of the rice embroiled with the seafood. Overall, a dish that's simply Bueno Bueno.

Look out for the Happy Hours promotion at just $10NETT on all draft beers, sparkling wines, house pour wines and spirits.
