[ WHAT'S UP SINGAPORE] EPICUREAN MARKET 2016 ( MARINA BAY SANDS)

by - Sunday, August 14, 2016

The 4th Annual Food and Wine Fair is back at Marina Bay Sands from 12-14 Aug and we went to check it out thanks to Burpple.
So I was there on Friday and will be there again today. If you have seen my Instagram Stories or Instagram updates, you would have had a sneak peek.
Back for its 4th year, this annual gourmet event is definitely something to look forward to, judging by the exciting crowd turnout we witnessed on Friday.

I had my sis with me and we had a happy time tasting wines and indulging in the wide selections of signature restaurants.
Here were some of the deeds.

This is one interesting product from Japan: A Green Tea drink packed in a toner-like bottle.
Really enticing for females.

Nespresso Bar
Serves up some pretty quirky, unconventional drinks for customers, Grab a free cuppa!

King's Cup ( Left) Ristretto which carried notes of India spices mixed in with whisky, gingery-gingerbread and honey, cumin flavored cream foam for an India getaway.
Maracuja Cola-Da (Right) Espresso mixed with lime juice and cola.

Culina

I was more interested with the Signature Restaurants segment and the big sprawling Picnic Area for patrons to really chill and enjoy splendour wine with the yummy spread of choices available.

Read about the hype from Yardbrid Southern Table and Bar, which is set to open at MBS in 2017 and was curious how they measure up. So there we queued and here it was

P.S: Get ready your CITIBANK cards as you will be entitled 10% discount at every booth purchases.
Back to the food.

Drooling over my crispy chicken.
Hits all the right notes, accompanied with the warm crispy waffle and juicy watermeleon cubes.

Our favourite from Gordon Ramsay — Bread Street Kitchen
Sidenote: We were seated at their booth's dining kiosk and the staff who came to clean our plates were extremely friendly, courteous, asking us how was the food and even offering us drinks. Definitely we were not expecting that as customers who had already paid and completed the "transaction" process.
We were happily surprised by the service of the crew despite the hectic crowd.
THUMBS UP for the EXCEPTIONAL Service

Choose from Pork SLiders

Or Fish and Chips!

It was way fun to just chill and chat up while dining!

Head on down today if you are tempted to! It's the last day today at Marina Bay Sands

( Updated: 9th Sept.)
Went back on the last day with my sweetie and here's what we ate!!
Real good stuff while spotted DC Comics superheros roaming about.

This time round we hard our tries at Cut byWolfgang Puck

Here were the orders from Cut.

Indian Spiced Shrimp Sandwich $15
One of the better food we had, love the shrimp for it's springy and tangy taste with the creamy sauce.

Tuna Tartare Cones
This was awesome! Crispy outer cone wrap filled with fresh raw tuna sashimi. It was a mix of sweet (cone) and savory from the tuna. Intriguing taste and very memorable. Wish they were larger though.
A must eat!
Mozza's Hand-pulled mozzarella pizza.
Because of the strong goat cheese, this was sadly not my cup of tea, but my ger loves it. So.

That's all I have!

Thanks for reading and let's look forward to next year's Epicurean Market!
