[Cafe Hopping in Singapore] Department of Caffeine

by - Thursday, April 23, 2015

Here's my cafe review at Department of Caffeine (DOC). Located right at the end of 15 Duxton Road, welcome to the cozy, modernistic cafe. With its doors fogged out, it's almost easy to miss out the cafe if not for the signage. Pushed on however and you will be welcomed by the aromas of the brewing coffee. The cafe was not crowded for a weekday afternoon and you can just chill and spend a long time there, with its soothing dimming lights and welcoming food and drinks.

Read on for our orders.

Caffe Latte with Toffeenut $5.50
Long Black $4.50
You can't go wrong with the coffee. The aromatic fragrance and aftertaste of the coffee lingers in your mouth for a long time. Simple pleasure in life.

Buttermilk Waffles with Banana Rum $16.
The waffles were pretty good. Mild crisp and super fluffy on the inside. Makes for a good dessert or afternoon tea break to break away from the heat with some soothing New Zealand Natural premium Vanilla ice-cream.

Chicken Fillet Burger $15.50
Chicken Thigh Fillet, bread and butter pickles, jalepano, vine ripen tomato, crisp lettuce and Louisianan hot mayo sauce.
The chicken fillet was super cispy and goes well with the burger as what a typical burger should be. Added in with all the sauces and sides, makes another simple, comfort food.

We spent a total of $41.50 with GST $2.91 and No service charges.
