1. Ah Chiang's Porridge
This porridge shop has been around for decades and frequent by many during breakfast/lunch times.
To be honest, I don't favor their variety of porridge which was way too runny.The fish porridge which i often order wasn't too tasty either. Nevertheless, there are still many old-time patrons. Do try it out for yourself to find out your preference.

2. Tiong Bahru Bakery
I am sure you know about Tiong Bahru Bakery which started out its first brunch from here, Have some delectable pastries and breads with coffee from Forty Hands.

5. Sin Hoi Sai Seafood Restaurant

An old established brand for over 20 years, this restaurant opens in the night time when the dazzling lights comes alive for some alfresco dining atmosphere under the sky. Have your seafood and Zichar fix here. Beware though price is not cheap and is more expansive than normal rates.

6. The Dispensary
Conserving the traditional Chinese Medicine Hall concept, this quaint cafe serves cupcakes and drinks for a relaxed afternoon.

8. Caffe Pralet
If you are filling hungry and craving for a full meal, head to this cafe for some western delights. With no Service Charge, this is a happy place to settle in for chitchats.

9. Monkey God Temple
This is not an eatery but a place of interest and since it's so near to the others, I shall just list it here.

Just across from Flock.
This place is famous for it's Fish ball noodles,Kopi and Teh-O, only operates in the day time. Bincho occupies the space for a classy unique Japanese dining experience.

When you are in Tiong Bahru there's no way you can miss this Singapore food paradise. Get all kinds of Singaporean local delights here and at an absolute affordable price. This place is where the locals dine in frequently, so you can experience the Singapore's way of life over here.

This new-kid-on-the block opens last year and occupys the prominent position of being just at the cross junction and opposite TB Market's main entrance. Serves sweets and coffees.

Another independent local bookstore, this fun-loving place has their focus on picture books.

20. Books Actually pte ltd
Established since 2005, Books Actually is one of the pioneers who contributed to the hipster vibe in Tiong Bahru. With it's bright and delightful exterior, this local independent bookstore is  still charming after these years.

21.Plain Vanilla Bakery
A quaint little cafe with all the right decos and ambience to soothe you. Sells cakes, sweets and beverages

22.Ting Heng Seafood Restaurant
Across the Monkey God Temple located along the 4-way junction in another direction, is this restaurant that serves the unmistakable steamboat by night time,

Few doors down from Ting Heng is Drips.  Favor their yummy-licious Handmade Tarts!
