[HONG KONG TRAVEL 9] EATS, PLAY 2016: ALL THINGS CUTE SIGHTED (END)

by - Thursday, May 26, 2016

Thanks for coming to the last concluding post of my Hong Kong 2016 travelogue. I hope the past posts have been useful for you and your future planning! In this last post, it’s basically a jumble of all the adorable pop-up cartoon characters spotted along the way. Except for the LINE store, which is permanently based in Hysan Place and the Hong Kong Avenue of Comics Stars (which my ger jiehui recommended), others were unplanned chance upon.

Enjoy SCROLLING! ( I know you only scroll and not read the captions right? :P)

For the upcoming travelogues, stay STILL as I continue sharing on my Taiwan Trip recently, thankfully made possible by Eva Airways and my experience on the Hello Kitty Flight!

Meanwhile, I will be posting up on my review of the LG G5 courtesy of LG Singapore. (Disclaimer: No phones were broken in the process of repeated plugging and unplugging. If you know what I meant. If you don’t, pls anticipate my review coming up! ). I will also be sharing some of the happy, interesting places and events around Singapore.

Miffy Spotted!

Miffy was put up in 5 spots around the Hysan Place and the nearby shopping malls in March this year and shoppers can redeem gifts related to Miffy with certain amounts spent.

LINE Friends Store
We can't resist the power of the LINE family- the characters behind the widely popular Free messaging and calling app. So much so that merchandising stores have been opening up in Asia, the more famous cousin being the store in Korea's Myeongdong as one of the pioneers. These Line Friends stores have products designed especially for them, backed by LINE Corporation and not by any third parties.
Line Friends Hong Kong store in Hysan Place, Causeway Bay opened in August 2015.

BROWN!!!  KI-YO-MI

Selling exclusive LINE Friends merchandise unique to Hong Kong only.

One thing to look out for are their tshirts with designs very different from the LINEXUNIQLO versions. I actually bought one-  with a more subtle black color

Pompompurin!
this cherry huge display was spotted in Century Square, Central where Dim Sum Icon is located. We had wanted to have their Little Twin Stars Dim Sums but unfortunately they had a change of theme already on the day we visited.

Pompom Pudding for you?

Really CUTE, everything in the showcase.

Hong Kong Avenue of Comics Stars
Located in the Kowloon Park no less, pops an avenue of stars! Uniquely Hong Kong Stars not your usual TVB actors/actresses but COMICS heros. Many of these characters are totally foreign to us and unheard of.
How many can you recognize?

You know about Lao Fu Zi right?

How about the character from Feng Yun?

Jordan MTR alight. We head to this place after Sun Kee Cheese Noodles and it was just a short walk.
