OTHER DECCO PICCS?

Thanks to Creative Eateries, we had the opportunity to visit Xi Men Ding for a tasting of their new menu
If you haven't read on my previous post-up for their revamped menu, click on.

Here's some of Xi Men Ding's new mix for the new year.

Mixed Salad (with Chicken, Seafood & Pork) 什锦沙拉 $12.90
(The Dressing we had was Goma Sauce 台式芝麻酱. There is  also another choice of Xi Men Ding Homemade Sauce 西门町自制酱)
Whip up your appetite with this combo. Light crisp lettuces and veges accompanied with the fragrant tasty Goma Sauce, sure to spur up your taste buds for the upcoming main courses.

Brazilian Mushroom Soup in Chicken Broth 巴西蘑菇汤 $7.90
Clear the heat and give yourself some nourishment with this tasty soup delight. We especially loved the Brazilian Mushrooms which were imported from Malaysia. Pretty rare here in Singapore, these mushrooms are deliciously paired with the chicken broth boiled overnight. Known to stimulate immune system, this soup was 1 of my favorites in the new menu. Flavorful and boiled to perfection with the tender chicken bites.

Steamed Cod with Radish 菜脯蒸鳕鱼 $18.90
Cod - my favourite fish variety of all times. It's no surprise this dish has found its way to my heart. Smooth white soft cod, steamed and drizzled with their specialized in-house sauce, topped with fried radish. Complement  with rice or porridge to brings out more savory taste.

‘San Bei’ King Oyster Mushroom with Basil 三杯杏鲍菇 $16.90
San Bei consists of Rice Wine, Soy Sauce and Sesame Oil and in this delectable creation, simmering San Bei concept allows for much better absorption by the Oyster Mushrooms. The  additional Basil provides the little pick-me-up fragrance.

Radish & Egg Pancake 菜脯蛋 $12.80
Look how fluffy the omelette pancake looks!
To ensure constant fluffiness, the chef has to keep shifting and working around the wok. This creation is all about embracing the sweet egg sandwiched between fragrant radish. Simply 'home-some'.

‘Xue Cai’ Tofu 雪菜豆腐 $14.90
Xue Cai also known as Mei Cai or preserved vegetables, simmered in hot clay bowl with soft white tofu. Perfect accompaniment for porridge or rice.

Sweet Taro Paste 紫金芋泥 $5.90
Smile and the world smiles with you. :)
This needs no explanations right? It's our all time favourite taro paste topped with coconut milk and ginko nuts.

Fruity Mochi 水果麻糬 $6.50
Another sweet for you to end your meal. What could be more apt than having some Taiwanese mochi?
Comes in Mango, Peach, Peanut and Sesame, presented in a lovely plating.

Yummy-licious! Aren't you tempted?
